Fashion Friday: Kenneth Winston Lace Wedding Gown

{ Love Letters }

I have decided that I will now start having some fashion fun on Fridays! I will use Fridays as a day to post about wedding fashions. It might be a wedding gown, bridesmaids dress, shoes, or all of the above! Hopefully I can help you find the dress or shoe you were looking for.

Up first, a romantic, lace wedding gown by Kenneth Winston. If you are looking for an all over lace dress with an amazing back, look no further!

3D Modeling: Using OpenScad to Design a Ring

yuqi cosplays ♥

One of the biggest hurdles for most people to get into 3D printing is just knowing where to start, but just like any other type of printer you need something print to make it worth it and anyone can start this free and be sure to have something worth printing before deciding the next step. If you don’t want to just download other peoples model and would like to create your own there are plenty of free options to get started with. Here is an excerpt from one of those options from my ring making guide/tutorial/instructables I was making to cover the creation of YuQi’s engagment ring.ringOpenScad is a lot more intimidating to most people who are not familiar with programming, but in all honesty if you just want to make a simple ring all your self (i.e. not downloading a model) and don’t have much computing power you…

Writing 101: Three Wedding Songs

Jake Kuyser

“Today’s Prompt: Write about the three most important songs in your life — what do they mean to you?”

w101

I liked it but it didn’t tug my heart strings until our wedding day. It turned out to be very emotional for many people in that room, most of all me! I wonder if I will get something in my eye every time I hear it from now on.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD FROM THIS DAY FORWARD FOR BETTER AND FOR WORSE, FOR RICHER AND FOR POORER, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH, TIL DEATH US DO PART.

I would be delighted to take these vows with my handsome fiance. We are already living together, have a child together, are raising our children together and are very much in love and committed to each other. To be lawfully married to him, have his name and wear his ring would be the icing on the cake.

To be a BRIDE… my worst nightmare!

Apparently it’s every little girls dream, princess dresses and dancing the night away with your Prince charming at your fairy tale wedding with all your family and friends. No chance, everyone looking at you, judging you and expecting you to float and glow.

It has become competitive. The price of the venue, number of guests and all…

THEMED ISSUE: UNCONVENTIONAL LOVE STORIES

THE FEM

lovestoriesIn honor of the all-too-stereotypical, white, money-driven and heteronormative thing that is Valentine’s Day, we are putting out a call for unconventional love stories, essays, and poems for the month of February.

Send us your tales of sex that redefine what sex actually looks like; show us difference, and sameness; tell us about the time your queer love story went from fate to disaster; tell us about love that breaks boundaries and rebuilds.

All selected pieces will be published in a special themed issue.

Submissions guidelines are the same as always.
