Rustic Country Mason Jar Invitation

The Queen of Showers!

Here is an invitation I was commissioned to for a family member.

  • What is the tone of your ceremony venue?
  • Are there any songs or artists that are especially meaningful to you and/or your families?

People never seem to have trouble conceptualizing what their dream wedding will be — visions of color palettes, bouquets, event venues, fondant-laden cakes and merengue-laden white dresses dance in their heads from before the groom-to-be drops to one knee. But music is part of…

Dinner is served!

weddings from the other side

I can vividly remember the kitchen table I sat at every day and night throughout my childhood. The table was made of an older, dark colored wood, which rarely saw the light of day as it remained covered by a thick blue and white checked tablecloth at most times. The table was pushed flush against the wall… always. The chairs were also wood, with thick strands of something that resembled heavy cardboard to my childhood mind, woven together to make the seat.

I would lay in my bed until I could smell the delicious Eggo waffle toasting in the toaster. It’s a love story. Shannon & Jeff engagement illustration

I had an inquiry about illustrating a unique engagement present.  I did 2 concepts and took some bad pictures of the process. It was a quick turnaround so needed to get it out the door.

My brief, was a picture of the couple, and some background information on their relationship.

With the picture provided, I should have made his muscles a lot bigger.  I was told “bigger boobs and fashion forward,” so after the first concepts were out, we went with a variation of 2 & 2.1 and pumped up the volume.

Concept 2.1, fixed Shannon’s hair and proposed the idea of cropping the whole thing to the crop marks. We decided against that.
